Round ‘em up – Ride ‘em Out at Mount Vernon (WA) for the 4th Annual Poker Run! Grab your cards and enjoy a barbecue on July 7-8. Enjoy a fun-filled weekend of casino games and perhaps an Elvis sighting at Green Mountain (NC) July 6-8 for a wet & wild vegas style weekend! Bring your favorite junk food to share and join us at Colorado River (TX) for dice games on July 7! The folks at Kenisee Lake (OH) will host their Third Annual Poker Run and Potluck of the season the weekend of July 13-15! Saturday, July 14 is the Annual Casino Night for the adults at Bear Cave (MI). Gaming starts at 7pm and there will be prizes! Sign up for the golf cart poker run at Chesapeake Bay (VA) the weekend of July 20-22, which features great prizes for winners! Join us for an ‘80s evening at the pool Saturday at Moody Beach (ME) the weekend of July 13! Dress in your favorite ‘80s outfit and dance with your favorite partner. Prizes awarded! The weekend will be complete with hula hoop contests, bubble gum blowing, Cherry Coke chugging, croquet, and root beer floats. Enjoy our 50’s themed games and treats at Diamond Caverns (KY), July 20-22 for a Rockin’ Oldies weekend! Enjoy a movie and treats including popcorn, ice cream,
cola, moon pies and root beer floats! Relive that special prom night all over again with the folks at Gateway to Cape Cod (MA)! Dress to impress and dance the night away with entertainment Saturday, July 14! Come get your hop on at Lake Tawakoni (TX) on July 14 for the Sock Hop Weekend! We will have a costume contest, crafts, and will dance to some oldies music. Let’s slick our hair back and get the best ‘50s outfit together at Medina Lake (TX) on July 28. We will have a contest and other great ‘50s games, floats, and food.

It is getting hot outside here at Lake Gaston (NC), so join us and have a great time with slip ‘n slides and pool games. Teens, join us for activities at the lake such as the greased watermelon, a volleyball game and body painting the weekend of July 6-8! The folks at Lake Conroe (TX) will be having a Pool Party on July 7 and you’re invited! So come to the pool to cool off and play some games. If you
do not want to get wet, you had better hide… Campground-wide water fights, water slides and all things water at Natchez Trace (TN) for a Wet & Wild Weekend on July 7! Grab your inner tubes or rent one at the Lodge at Russian River (CA) for this year’s Summer Splash River Float event on July 14! You better bring your bathing suit for a Wacky Water Weekend full of pool games, water balloons, water guns, and more the weekend of July 27 at Timothy Lake N&S (PA)! Splish-splash in our sparkling pools at Chehalis (WA) and enjoy icy cold watermelon to keep cool. Then, line up for our famous 100-foot Slip ‘n Slide on Saturday, July 28, and Karaoke in the evening! Slip ‘n slide, water games, pool games and more at Circle M (PA) in this water-filled weekend July 6-8. It’s sure to be a blast for all! Join us at Seaside (OR) on July 13-15 for a weekend of cooling down and sweet treats. We will have everything ice cream and snow cones. Christmas in July

There is one more holiday that campers enjoy more than celebrating July 4th and that is Christmas in July!

Join us at Gettysburg Farm (PA) the weekend of July 13-15 for caroling, hot chocolate, tree trimming, site decorating contest and more! It’s always a favorite weekend here on the Farm! Christmas is early this year at Green Mountain (NC)! Decorate your site and carts for a night of color and fun the weekend of July 27-29. Santa Claus is coming to town a few months early to Leavenworth (WA) the weekend of July 27-29. Santa’s loading up his golf cart and heading to Lynchburg (VA) the weekend of July 28-29. Come on down to the Activity Center on Saturday afternoon to meet him and get a special gift. Show your holiday spirit by dressing up and lighting up your sites. We will have lots of games, activities and crafts planned for this weekend. Santa Claus is coming to Rondout Valley (NY) the weekend of July 20-22 and he will be making a special appearance Saturday afternoon. Enjoy holiday crafts, decorating the Christmas Tree, playing Ornament Bingo, and other games including a summer snowball fight. Bring in your favorite cookies for a Christmas cookie exchange and regift that ugly tie at our White Elephant gift exchange at Williamsburg (VA) the weekend of July 13-15.

Carnival Weekend

Join us all month long for fun and games during Carnival weekends! Whether you like to play games, get your face painted, or enjoy rides, carnival weekends are fun for all!

Fun and games all day the weekend of July 20-22 at Kenisee Lake (OH)! Face painting, carnival games and a craft show too! Plus live entertainment on Saturday night! Enjoy a day of games, prizes, popcorn, snow cones and face painting at Gateway to Cape Cod (MA) the weekend of July 27-29. Family fun for everyone! It’s all things Carnival at Little Diamond (WA) the weekend of July 20-22. We’ll have our food court with all your favorite foods. Games like Plinko, butterfly balloon burst, face painting, and more. The Back to School Carnival at Pine Country (IL) is a great day for the kids. There will be a variety of carnival games to win tickets and use towards the purchase of school supplies, the weekend of July 27-29. There will be lots of fun and games for our first-ever carnival weekend at Williamsburg (VA) the weekend of July 20-22. We will have a live petting zoo, dunk booth and magic show. Celebrate with the folks at Lake Minden (CA) for a certain special wizard’s birthday with a variety of wizarding activities and magical arts and crafts the weekend of July 27-29. Not into magic? Come experience the thunder on the water as the hydroplanes race on Lake Minden! Swim beaches will be closed during the boat races. Please join us at St Clair (MI) for our third annual Wizard Weekend, July 27-29. We’ll be transforming the campground into a mystical wizard world. Everyone has a favorite superhero or princess! Dress up like your favorite and you may win a prize at Lake & Shore (NJ) the weekend of July 13-15 for a Superheroes & Princesses Weekend. Ever wanted to have your tarot read? Join us at Scotrun (PA) the weekend of July 7-8 for a tarot card reader and live entertainment of a Magic Comedy & Juggling Act. Scavenger Hunts

Search for buried treasure or hunt for special prizes when you participate in our scavenger hunts this summer!

Join us for field games and scavenger hunts by day, followed by a Saturday evening of Wine & Painting for those over 21 at
Moody Beach (ME) the weekend of July 6-8. Prepare yourselves for a swashbuckling weekend at Grandy Creek (WA) the weekend of July 13-15. Search for pirate treasure with a fun scavenger hunt. We will also do a pirate craft and make princess tiaras. Enjoy a Friday Night Movie and get ready for a Saturday scavenger hunt for a special fish and his friends at Pacific City (OR) the weekend of July 27-29. Join us on Friday July 20 for a movie under the stars and then, Saturday, July 21, we will be having crafts where you can make your own treasure chest at Indian Lakes (IN). Then, we will go on
a treasure hunt. You will hunt for clues in various areas of the campground to lead you to the secret treasure. Plus, it is time for another flashlight candy hunt for the kids!

Western Themed Weekends

Howdy y’all! It’s time to giddy-up for Western Weekends! Check out these activities and saddle up for a great weekend!

It’s back to the Wild West at Thunderbird (WA) the weekend of July 6-8! Join us for the Chuck Wagon Breakfast Buffet, Second Annual Horseshoe Tournament, cowboy bonfire with music and “Cowboy Buck” and much more! The weekend of July 6-8 at Wilmington (OH) is dedicated to the fun and flavors of the West! Wear your boots and cowboy hats and we will kick up some fun with line dancing. Plus, we will have a Western BBQ Cook-off. Wear your favorite Western duds and join the fun with water gun fights, stick horse races, Western movies, a Western band, and Chuck Wagon lunch ($3) on Saturday, July 21 at Chehalis (WA)! Chris Guenther & the Honky Tonk Drifters will entertain us on Saturday night! It’s Western Weekend at Forest Lake (NC) the weekend of July 13-15 featuring an old-school family friendly Western movie and a day of fun with lots of games on Saturday. Western Days are here at Morgan Hill (CA)! Make a cowboy craft, watch a Western movie on the big screen and enjoy cowpoke s’mores by the fire pit the weekend of July 13-15. Dust off your cowboy boots and hat because the rodeo is coming to Long Beach (WA)! Join us on Saturday, July 28 to dig for gold, try your arm at our boot toss or see how fast you can gallop through our horse relay. We will also have our Wanted photo booth for many memorable photo ops.

Wear your favorite Hawaiian shirt and enjoy the ambiance as we celebrate summer in tropical style at Paradise (WA) the weekend of July 13-15. Come out for the pool party of the year the weekend of
July 20 at Seaside (OR). We will have music, a BBQ, karaoke, limbo, and hula hoop contests and much more. We will have lots of Hawaiian-themed activities like games, crafts, lei making and limbo contests at Oakzanita Springs (CA) the weekend of July 21-22. And of course our delicious dinner, featuring fruit salad, Hawaiian rice, roll, and drinks. Don’t forget to wear your favorite Hawaiian shirt. Grab your grass skirts and your best Hawaiian shirt and get ready for some island fun during the weekend of July 27-28. Enjoy great activities like

Prescott Valley 4th of July

Meet us at Mountain Valley Park in Prescott Valley for Northern Arizona’s best and FREE fireworks show on July 4! Bring blankets and lawn chairs, but please leave the alcoholic beverages, grills, pets and glass containers at home.

4th Annual Barn Burner BBQ Competition

This event features food trucks, sponsor exhibits, live music, competitor area with samples and beer garden. Tasting wristbands will be available for a $5 min donation; free to attend. Proceeds go to Envision Financials The Full Cupboard, a community program designed to raise food, funds and awareness for food banks in local communities.

The Big Bay Boom July 4th Fireworks Show is back, promising another spectacular display over San Diego Bay. Fireworks will be discharged simultaneously from barges placed strategically around the Bay off Shelter Island, Harbor Island, Embarcadero North, Seaport Village, Embarcadero South Marina Park and Coronado Ferry Landing.

64th Annual Over The Line Tourney

San Diego’s beach softball, Over the Line Tournament, is played by men and women into their 80’s and is one of the last pure Southern California traditions. Play is from 7:30am to dusk at Fiesta Island, Mission Bay Park.

Blessing of the Bells

This weekend event celebrates the anniversary of Mission San Diego de Alcalá, the Mother of California’s 21 Missions, which was founded by Father Junipero Serra on July 16, 1769. The weekend celebration includes food, entertainment, dancing, and traditional activities like the Blessing of the Bells and the Blessing of the Animals. All five Mission bells are rung during the festivities, including an original bell dating back to 1802.

Join thousands of fans at Oceanside Pier to watch more than 100 of world’s best female surfers compete in the largest all-woman competition and be a part of the Supergirl Pro Festival Village! This Imperial Beach event is the original surf dog competition. Join us for a leisurely ride along the scenic country roads of Skagit Valley on The Summer Seersucker Social – Bicycle Ride & Scavenger Hunt.
