A Tale of a Whale

Nicknamed “the greyhound of the deep,” due to its ability to reach speeds of 25 miles per hour, Fin, or finback, whales are known for their great length and size. A mature finback can reach lengths of well over 65 feet and weigh approximately 50 to 80 tons. Scientists believe that finbacks can live up to 90 years of age and beyond.
