Nestled in the eastern foothills of the Cascade Range, the alpine setting of the Leavenworth preserve is refreshing. Sunny summers provide perfect conditions for hiking, fishing, river rafting or sunbathing on the shores of beautiful Lake Wenatchee. During the winter months, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and snowshoeing are accessible from the preserve. The preserve is also located just 30 miles from the Stevens Pass ski area and 55 miles from Mission Ridge ski area. No matter what the season, the nearby village of Leavenworth is a real treat, with its Bavarian architecture, unique German restaurants, specialty shops and art galleries.

Campsites: 60 full hookups, 260 power and water only, 4 day-use sites.

Rentals: 6 trailers, 4 motel rooms, 4 cottages, 4 cabins, 1 seven-bedroom log house, Clear Creek Lodge (make a reservation).

From western Washington: Take Hwy. 2 for 85 miles east over Stevens Pass to Cole’s Corner. Turn left on Hwy. 207 and go about five miles. Turn right onto Chiwawa Loop Road and follow the signs six miles to the preserve.

From eastern Washington: Take direct route to Hwy. 2. Head west through Leavenworth for approximately 16 miles to Hwy. 207. Turn right. Follow directions above.
